











About Ben Drakes
After I failed at school, university wasn't an option. I moved to London in the mid-1990s and took various jobs to get by. Seeing potential in the growing tech industry, I joined Computacenter as a junior sales support. Five years later, I was their top salesperson. But it wasn't smooth sailing. I struggled initially until I attended a training course focused on vision, mission, and mindset transformed my approach. I wrote a personal mission statement, changed my habits, and soon outpaced my peers. My customers noticed, and I began working onsite with them, which allowed me to tap into the most crucial aspect of sales: empathy. I realised I was a natural relationship builder, and that laid the foundation of my career.
With belief, grit, tenacity, and teamwork, I reached the number one spot. Later, I transitioned into outsourcing, again starting from the bottom, but eventually closing over $2 billion in sales.
My vision for Ben Drakes University is to teach you how to become a top B2B sales professional while staying emotionally fit. We're in the AI era now, and our role is to help customers leverage this new technology. I’ve created a program for that too.
